Fostering Creativity in Disadvantaged Youth

Acclaimed Detroit artist Tony RoKo has partnered with Wolverine Human Services to form Art Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Art Foundation’s mission is to provide art education and creative expression opportunities for youth in Southeast Michigan schools and therapeutic facilities. The program will begin to develop each student’s distinct style and intuitive self-expression.

RoKo shares valuable lessons acquired through his 30-year journey from autoworker to working artist. With the understanding that each student has unique strengths and attributes, RoKo has developed scalable curriculum geared toward various skill levels and individual objectives.

"I made a piece of art that really helped me to connect with different people and my artistic self."
